DEAR YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND STUDENTS!
The Council of Young Scientists of B. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering (ILTPE) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is organizing an international young scientist conference “Low Temperature Physics” to be held on June 7-11, 2010.
The aim of the conference is to help young scientists, graduate and undergraduate students to improve their professional skills and scientific qualification, as well as to exchange ideas, discuss new scientific results, and gain more experience in making public presentations.
The format of the conference involves presentations by young researchers from Ukraine and abroad and invited talks by leading experts in the field of low temperature physics.
The Conference is supported by ILTPE and student organizations IRE-OSA (Optical Society of America), IRE-SPIE (Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineering), and MTTs-Student Chapters.

2. Electronic properties of solids at low temperature
3. Low temperature magnetism, spintronics
4. Optics and photonics. Optical investigations at low temperatures
5. Quantum liquids and quantum crystals, cryocrystals
6. Strength and plasticity of solids at low temperature
7. Biophysics, low temperature physics of macromolecules
8. Physics of nanostructures and low dimensional systems
9. Theoretical physics: low temperature aspects / low temperature phenomena / theoretical studies in low temperature physics
10. Modern aspects of mathematics and mathematical physics
IMPORTANT DATES:
Abstract deadline: 4 April 2010
Acceptance notification: before 3 May 2010
CONFERENCE REGULATIONS:
Venue for the Conference:
Languages – English, Ukrainian, and Russian for presentations and preferably English for abstracts.
Forms of participation – oral presentations (15 min talk), posters (format А1).
Conference materials – book of abstracts.
Participation in the Conference – for registration the application form and abstract should be submitted to the Organizing Committee. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. The best presentations will be awarded and recommended to be published as articles in the journal ‘Low Temperature Physics’. After receipt of the relevant notification from the Program Committee, an article should be prepared for publication according to the Journal rules (http://fntr.ilt.kharkov.ua/pravila.pdf, http://fnte.ilt.kharkov.ua/rule.pdf) and submitted to the Editorial Office within one month.
The application form and abstract should be submitted to the Organizing Committee by e-mail at kmu2010@ilt.kharkov.ua. In the Subject field provide your family name, first name and the number of the topic (see Topics above), for example: ‘ivanov_ivan_5’.
The Conference fee is 100 UAH for Ukrainian participants and 35 EUR for foreign participants. The Conference fee should be paid during the registration in Ukrainian national currency at the rate of National bank of Ukraine.
