World is a single, globalised market today. The players in this market compete for access to high-quality capital from a global pool of investors. All informed decisions of the market are based on financial reports. Financial reporting using a single set of high quality, understandable, enforceable and globally accepted International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) based upon clearly articulated principles are important in this context.             India will be adopting converged IFRS (Ind-AS) from the year 2016 in a phased manner. Professionals, academicians, students and investors have to understand these changes. We, department of accountancy from Khandwala College thought of taking an initiative for creating awareness by organizing an International Conference on Financial Reporting ‘IFREC- 2015’. IFREC-2015 will enable professionals from all over the world to discuss trends, issues, and challenges in financial reporting. Conference will be on 17th and 18th December, 2015 in Mumbai.            IFREC- 2015 features leading-edge speakers from practice and academics and covers current financial reporting issues to bring you up-to-date on all latest developments and make sure that you are up to speed with new and emerging issues.

IFREC-2015 is dedicated to the advancement of accounting theory and practice. The Conference sessions and papers will critique contemporary theory and practice of accounting research, debate policy alternatives, and explore new perspectives and changes in financial reporting. This conference also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to discuss the interaction between accounting and other disciplines.
