The 4th forum on Applied Linguistics will be held on December 3-4, 2016 by the National Key Research Centre for Linguistics & Applied Linguistics at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou, P. R. China. The forum invites proposals (maximum 500 words) for panels and presentations that address issues related to the second language studies. We welcome original papers from perspectives of second language theories, foreign language teaching and pedagogy, discourse analysis, language testing, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics, etc.


Professor Heidi Byrnes (George M. Roth distinguished professor at Georgetown University), Rod Ellis (distinguished professor at the University of Auckland), Ken Hyland (professor at the University of Hong Kong), and Chuming Wang (professor at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies) will give keynote speeches on topics including second language theories and L2 writing.
