We welcome you to join us in Hiroshima, Japan for the 5th Asian Conference on the Arts, Humanities and Sustainability (ACAHS 2018) on Wednesday and Thursday, August 1-2, 2018 at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Hiroshima. This conference will be held jointly with the 5th Asian Conference on the Social Sciences and Sustainability (ACSUS 2018) and the 4th Conference on Sustainable Business in Asia (COSA 2018).
ACSUS 2018 will precede the 73rd Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony . Please note that this is a small, international, peer-reviewed conference with a limited number of oral and poster presentation time slots. We encourage all interested participants to submit abstracts as early as possible. In addition to this conference participants will have an opportunity to visit Hiroshima Peace Park and the famous shrine island of Miyajima — both Peace Park and Miyajima are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
About ACAHS 2018
The objective of ACAHS 2018 is to move away from the notion that sustainability only is an environmental issue. Actually, it is important to take a holistic perspective that embraces the critical relationship between ecological sciences and humanities. This is evident as human communities as well as their diverse biological and cultural heritage are increasingly threatened by mounting environmental and societal problems from climate change and exploitation of finite resources to the inequities and human costs of unsustainable practices and technologies. So our theme for this year’s event is Inspiring Change and we hope you will consider submitting a proposal and joining us in Hiroshima for this important on the arts, humanities and sustainability.
We welcome submissions of 250 words in English by Friday, May 11, 2018. Click on the submission link below to submit your proposal today!
