Greetings from the Organizing Committee of the Conference on Global Globin 2020 Challenge (GG2020 Conference 2018).
On behalf of the local organizing committee, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the Conference on Global Globin conference to be held from July 07 (Saturday) - July 08 (Sunday), 2018 at the The Gurney Hotel & Residences, Penang, Malaysia.
The theme of the conference is "Precision Medicine In Thalassaemia", focusing on a wide range of topics from variant detection to advanced human genomic data sharing. The scientific committee is planning a stimulating academic program including plenary lectures, symposia and poster presentations to keep you updated on how to implement the latest development in human genomic which involves data accumulation and sharing systematically to avert hemoglobin/blood diseases especially Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). The organizing committee is looking forward to the participation of everyone from every country and region of the world.
We also would like to invite you to explore Penang, a Malaysian state at the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Orient, Penang is a vibrant, dynamic, yet culturally rich island city. The conference will be held at the stylish The Gurney Resort Hotel & Residences hotel in Georgetown, the capital of Penang. The hotel sits along Gurney Drive, a renowned tourist belt near Georgetown’s business district. The historical core of Georgetown, covering an area of nearly 260 hectares (640 acres) of the city centre, has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008.
