Job description

KTH has received a grant from Mistra to conduct a large research program about sustainable consumption where environmentally friendly niche practices are evaluated for possible upscaling and business opportunities. In workpackage 2 in this project current and upcoming consumption practices are evaluated for their environmental impacts and the plan is to use a software for this called Energy Analysis Program, EAP. For managing the environmental calculations that are necessary the databases of EAP needs to be updated (especially basic goods, transportation, packaging) as the data about consumption items (price, weight, packaging, distance travelled etc).

The applicant will collect data from existing databases and from scientific literature and through own surveys and the primary focus in on updating sections of EAP and the secondary aim is to update data on consumption items. The work includes documentation and reporting.


We are looking for an applicant who has a master's degree in industrial ecology or equivalent. You have previous experience in in LCA or LCI and is thorough with numbers and references. In order to succeed in the position, we assume that you can communicate in written and verbal terms in English.
