A prae-doc position is vacant at the Department of Applied Psychology: Work, Education and Economy at the Faculty of Psychology (30 hours/week, for 4 years). The position is assigned to the area of “Psychological Research on Education and Transfer” (Chair Prof. Barbara Schober, https://transfer-psy.univie.ac.at/en/). We are searching for a collaborator with a Magister/ Master in Psychology and interest and experience in one of the following research fields: Transfer and implementation research, motivation in education and well-being, gender stereotypes in educational contexts. The applicant is assumed to aim a PhD in the scope of this appointment. Additionally capacity for team work and social competencies are expected. The collaborator will get the chance to work within a highly motivated and committed team of researchers and to work with advanced students on their diploma-thesis projects. Tasks encompass scientific research, teaching in the field of Psychological Research on Education and Transfer and administrative collaboration. Duration of employment: 4 year/s

Extent of Employment: 30.0 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
Integration in the research focus of the Bildung-Psychology team and collaboration in research, teaching and administration,

e.g., - collaboration in research projects - (international) publications and presentations at scientific conferences referring to the PhD (we expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months) - collaboration in proposals for research grants and projects - preparation and completion of a PhD - holding classes due to extent regulations of wage agreement - collaboration in administration of the faculty an institute

Profile:
Magister/Master in Psychology - excellent knowledge in methodology and statistics - excellent competences in Bildungs-
Psychology - high level of written and verbal expressiveness in German and English

Knowledge of academic processes and structures - capacity of teamwork - resilience and engagement - proactive - willingness to further education - good social skills
