The Department of Commercial and Business Law is looking for a research assistant (prae doc) with a strong interest in business and corporate law to support research and teaching. The department of Commercial and Business Law is part of the Vienna Law School. The function of the department is research and teaching in the field of commercial and business law.

- Place of Work: Faculty of Law, Department of Commercial and Business Law (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrich Torggler, LL.M.), Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Wien.



Duration of employment: 4 year/s

Extent of Employment: 30.0 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
- Participation in research, teaching and administration
- Examination activities
- Participation in publications / academic articles
- We expect to sucessful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months
- Possibility to write a doctoral thesis
- Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students

Profile:
- Master's degree in Law or business law (diploma or eqivalent, e.g. LL.M. [WU])
- Interest in business and corporate law and intention for doctoral thesis in these fields
- Excellent academic success in your studies, especially in the field of Commercial and Private Law
- Excellent IT user skills (MS-Office)
- Knowledge of working with databases
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Excellent command of written and spoken German

- High verbal and written skills
- Good didactic skills
- Teamwork skills
- Advantageous: Experience in the field of university; (Business) Economics Studies or Studies abroad
