The Professorship for X-ray imaging at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering develops novel X-ray imaging techniques at the Swiss Light Source, the synchrotron facility located at the Paul Scherrer Institute. Postdoc in clinical phase-contrast X-ray imaging (100%)

Your tasks will include: Execution of in-vivo breast imaging measurements with our world-first gratings-interferometry-based mammography device in collaboration with medical staff at University Hospital in Zürich; signal retrieval, image processing and analysis for the clinical interpretation of the results; optimization and further improvements of the measurements protocols (in the lab and in the clinic); dissemination of results at conferences and with scientific publications.

You should have: A PhD in physics or biomedical engineering; expertise in X-ray imaging and related hardware, ideally in gratings interferometry; fluency in English (spoken and written); a willingness to work in an interdisciplinary team of physicists, engineers and clinicians.
