A global student symposium showcasing cutting-edge research from across the Life Sciences, held jointly by graduate students at the MRC-LMB Cambridge, UK and this year’s partner institute, Göttingen Graduate School for Neurosciences, Biophysics, and Molecular Biosciences (GGNB), Germany.
We are excited to announce that the programme consists of four themed sessions, including cell communication, genes and genomes, techniques driving the life sciences and global collaborations! This covers a range of topic areas including cell, structural, neuro-biology, and bioengineering. Our keynote perspectives include Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz and the LMB’s newest Nobel Laureate, Sir Gregory Winter.
As a fully student-organised symposium, we aim to facilitate interactions between students and scientists to help progress their scientific careers. The symposium provides many opportunities for scientific discussion and networking with speakers, including an interactive workshop on collaborating in scientific research. There will also be a range of informal networking events such as a drinks reception, pub night, catered lunches and coffee breaks, organised punting, and a formal dinner at Peterhouse. Additionally, students will have the chance to communicate their research during a poster session and a student thesis competition.
We look forward to welcoming you at the MRC-LMB this summer!
