The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL Hamburg) is hosting an international symposium focusing on state of the art developments in small-angle scattering applied to structural biology – methods, instruments and science. The symposium is also an occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ATSAS software suite that coincides with the birthday of our mentor and colleague Dmitri Svergun.
The Hamburg symposium is geared toward all SAXS and SANS excited scientists including current and former beamline users, collaboration partners and EMBL alumni especially former Svergun group members, visitors and trainees.
For the scientific sessions, we have invited a number of leading experts in small angle X-ray scattering to present short scientific seminars (25 min each). On Thursday afternoon there will be a poster session open to all contributions. Tours to EMBL's bioSAXS beamline P12 running at PETRA III will be included in the program. Further program details will be updated here.
We are asking for a small registration fee of 100€ to cover costs for coffee breaks, lunches and the celebration dinner. We will use any excess funds to make a limited number of travel grants available for students. Accommodation and travel are not included in the conference registration fee.
