The postdoc study will focus on antibiotic susceptibility test using electronic sensors. The research activities include design and fabrication of solid-state electronic sensors, and detection of metabolic products associated with bacteria activities under drug stimulations. The study will be supervised by experienced researchers in Prof. Zhen Zhang’s group within the Division of Solid-State Electronics, Department of Engineering Science, Uppsala University, Sweden.  We offer an exciting and multidisciplinary postdoc project in collaboration with the Biomedical Centre (BMC) at Uppsala University.

Qualifications required: To qualify as a postdoctoral researcher, the applicant must hold a Swedish PhD degree or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a Swedish PhD. The applicant's PhD degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application date. However, periods of sick leave or parental leave, for example, are deductible from the three years period. PhD
in electronic engineering, materials science, physics or chemistry is expected. Previous experience in cleanroom processing, electrochemical characterization and noise measurement will be advantageous. Ability to carry out research independently and very good knowledge in written and spoken English are required. Constructive and collaborative attitude is a must.

Scholarship: The scholarship amount is SEK 28500 per month (tax free) for one year, with possibility of extension for one more year.
