The Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) is pleased to announce the 3rd International Workshop: “Emerging Target Therapies in Cancer: Toward effective combinations” to be held at the Melia Marina Varadero Hotel, Varadero, Cuba, from September 23 to 26, 2019.

This four-day event will bring together basic scientists, medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, biotechnologists, clinical investigators, and other allied professionals from around the world, interested in the fields of cancer pathogenesis and new targeted therapies development. The meeting will be an excellent opportunity to expose the translational nature of modern biomedical and pharmaceutical research. Within the event we will dedicate especial attention to antiangiogenic passive and active immunotherapeutic strategies and also to the combinations emerging in this field particularly with checkpoint inhibitors.

General Topics

  • Cancer Immunotherapy with focus on angiogenesis and checkpoint inhibitors
  • Cancer Targeted Therapy with emphasis on CKII, COMD1 and Integrins targeting
  • Combination with checkpoint inhibitors.
  • Tumor Microenvironment.

Separated sessions will cover for each topic:

  • Preclinical and early phase clinical development
  • Clinical trials phase II-IV design and results
  • Soluble and cellular Biomarkers of Response and Prognosis
