Office of Financial Research (OFR) within the U.S. Treasury Department is pleased to announce a PhD symposium on dissertations on financial stability. The event will take place on October 24, 2019 at the OFR headquarters in Washington, DC. The paper submissions will be restricted to papers on topics related to financial stability by students currently enrolled in a U.S. PhD program. Submissions must include a full version of the paper (no extended abstracts), along with their background information (i.e., CV) by August 30, 2019 in order to be considered. The symposium will focus on highlighting student research on the dynamics governing financial markets and their implications for financial stability.

• Asset pricing bubbles and tail risk

• Financial markets

• Interconnectedness of financial institutions and contagion risk
