The West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics, or WCCFL (pronounced /ˈwɪkfəl/) is an annual linguistics conference started in 1982, usually held in the spring at a university in western North America. Research presented at WCCFL can focus on any theoretical or formal aspect of natural language analysis, including, but not limited to, phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and discourse structure. WCCFL38, to be held at the University of British Columbia, will include a main session as well as a special session focused on indigenous languages of the western American continents.
The Department of Linguistics at the University of British Columbia is pleased to invite abstracts for submission to the 38th West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics (WCCFL 38) to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, March 6-8, 2020.
