Solar energy has an enormous potential for fulfilling the urgent quest for developing renewable sources to satisfy the growing demand for energy on the global scale. Hybrid solar cells combining inorganic and organic materials are making rapid advances in terms of efficiency, lifetime, and technology and have a true promise to become key technology for future solar electricity production. In addition, they present a mine of opportunities for fascinating scientific research and ground breaking technological development.
Building upon the success of the previous HOPV conferences, the HOPV 2014 conference will provide an excellent opportunity for students, scientists and engineers around the world to familiarized themselves with the latest developments on solar energy harvesting and to get inspirations as well as exchanging ideas with the leading scientists from these areas. The conference will be led by world renowned plenary and invited speakers covering a broad range of the latest scientific advances in the plenary sessions. The conference encourages presentation of oral as well as poster contributions from scientists from all over the world, which will be presented in two parallel sessions running in the afternoons. Just submit your abstracts on time before the deadline, which is strict. Special attention is given to the poster contributions.
