Area Of Sciences: Physics and math;

Address: Fontanka, 27, 191023 St.Petersburg, Russia

Organizing comittee e-mail:

Organizers: St. Petersburg Branch of the Steklov' Mathematical Institute

Venue for the first four days is St. Petersburg Branch of the Steklov' Mathematical Institute. Parallel sessions will be organized there, the time slot for each presentation is 15 or 30 minutes (total amount of presentations is expected to exceed 150). Last day Conference moves to the Institute on Physics at the University campus (transportation for participants will be provided) and is devoted to the plenary sessions (consisting of 40–50 minutes lectures) and to the poster presentations.

The aim of the event is to bring together scientists working in the area of mathematical theory of waves' diffraction and propagation and researchers interested in application of various nature wave phenomena. We are always pleased to see active researchers from all over the world!

Traditionally the following topics are presented:

Mathematical aspects of wave propagation
Scattering and diffraction
Sound propagation and vibration
Nonlinear waves
Inverse problems
Non-stationary phenomena Asymptotic techniques
Elastic waves and seismology
Microwave and quantum waveguides
Numerical approaches
Wavelets and applications

Contributions covering wave phenomena of various nature are encouraged!
