The themes of the conference are laid down by taking into considerations recent scientific developments in the area of Water Resources, Coastal and Ocean Engineering, in addition to latest in software technology and observation systems.

About NITK

National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), Surathkal, was established in the year 1960 at Srinivasnagar, Mangalore, Karnataka State, India. KREC started as a College, affiliated to the University of Mysore, with 7 Departments offering B.E programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, etc. In 2002, the Government of India decided to grant full autonomy and accordingly the College was elevated to the status of Deemed University and renamed as the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. It has grown since then from strength to strength and emerged as one of the top 10 technical institutions in the country.
