Proposals are solicited for the 12th Annual Pikes Peak Regional History Symposium taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Military Matters will examine the ways in which military-related actions, organizations, installations, technological advances, individuals, and decisions have positively or negatively impacted our region and community.

Proposals are sought for presentations about the local and regional impact, and lasting significance, of the military in the Pikes Peak region and Mountain West. Wide-ranging topics may include colonial Spanish exploration to post-modern space exploration; defensive fort building to defensive cyer-technology; the social, intellectual, economic, environmental, and human benefits or costs resulting from the military presence; the impact of international wars. conflicts, and casualities on local and regional politics, society, and individuals.
