Queensland University of Technology is offering equity scholarships for domestic or international students in Australia. These scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, postgraduate research at Queensland University of Technology.

The main objective of the university is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.

University campuses offer high quality learning, teaching and research spaces to better meet the needs of students, academics and researchers. Applicants for admission into QUT courses are considered against the minimum entry requirements for individual courses on the basis of academic merit, English language proficiency and for some courses, additional requirements may apply. To assess their English language proficiency, the university accepts results from the following tests: IELTS (Academic); TOEFL iBT (Internet based); Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE); Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE).

Course Level: The scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, postgraduate research level at Queensland University of Technology in Australia.

Study Subject: Scholarships are provided in the field of Business; Creative Industries; Education; Health; Law and Science and Engineering.

Scholarship Award: Applicants can only receive one of the monetary awards (scholarships and bursaries). If they are eligible for more than one, applicants will receive the one with the highest value. If they are eligible for a computer, theys may receive that as well as a scholarship or bursary.
-Semester 1
-Domestic students can receive:
-an Equity Scholarship of $7,500 per year for up to four years (there are limited scholarships available at this value)
-an Equity Scholarship of $5,000 for one year (there are limited scholarships available at this value)
-an Equity Scholarship of $3,500 for one year
-an Equity Bursary of $1,500 for one year
-an Equity computer (a reconditioned desktop computer with the capacity to access internet and a USB drive).
-International students can receive:
-an Equity Bursary of up to $1,500 for one year
-an Equity computer (a reconditioned desktop computer with the capacity to access internet, and a USB drive).
-Semester 2
-If applicant received a scholarship or bursary in Semester 1, they can’t apply for another scholarship in Semester 2.
-Domestic students can receive:
-an Equity Scholarship of $1,750 for one semester
-an Equity Bursary of $1,500 for one semester
-a Faculty Equity Bursary of $1,500 for one semester.
-International students can receive:
-an Equity Bursary of up to $1,500 for one semester
-a Faculty Equity Bursary of $1,500 for one semester.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:-
-from a low-income background
-experiencing financial hardship.
-University also takes personal hardship into consideration when assessing applications. This includes:
-personal medical conditions
-disabilities
-dependants with special needs.
-There are some guarantees with our Equity scholarship:
-If applicant is a commencing Smith Family Learning for Life student, they are guaranteed an Equity Scholarship of $1,750 if they start in Semester 2, or $3,500 if they start in Semester 1. They also guaranteed an Equity computer (a reconditioned desktop computer with the capacity to access internet and a USB drive) if they need one.
-If  applicant a commencing Q-Step Scheme student, they are guaranteed an Equity Scholarship of $1,750 if they start in Semester 2, or $3,500 if they start in Semester 1.
-If they are commencing Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student, they are guaranteed the Equity bursary of $1,500. They won’t receive this bursary if they successfully apply for one or more Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships.

Nationality: Domestic or International students can apply for the scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Scholarship is open for visiting student , cross-institutional student and qut international college (qutic) student.

English language Requirements: Applicants for admission into QUT courses are considered against the minimum entry requirements for individual courses on the basis of academic merit, English language proficiency, and for some courses, additional requirements may apply. Supporting Material: In addition to the application for the scholarship, the applicant must submit the following documents:-
-individual bank statements for all bank accounts covering the past two months
-proof of income
-proof of the income of parent(s)/caregiver(s) if financially dependent and/or living at home
-proof of partner’s income (if partnered)
-Centrelink Income Statement for Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY or other pension or benefit if they haven’t completed the Centrelink consent form
-Australian Taxation Office Notice of Assessment for the most recent financial year (please provide us with recent payslips covering at least two months if they are unable to provide this document). If they are financially dependent on their family and/or living at home, they must also supply family income documentation.
-If applicant is eligible due to personal hardship, they shall need to indicate on the application form how their personal circumstances, either past or present, have had a negative impact on their life and their capacity to give time and attention to their studies.

Application Deadline: Applications for Semester 1, 2016 have been extended. Apply by 26 February 2016 (including submitting all their supporting documents) to be considered for a scholarship.
