Are you interested in advancing liberty and well-being as a communications professional?

The Koch Fellow Program: Communications uniquely combines communications work experience with professional education.  Programming is broad-based and avocational. It will include sessions on topics such as op-ed writing, pitching, public speaking, media training, and case studies of successful communications efforts. Through the program, fellows are placed in public relations, media relations, and other communications roles at liberty-advancing non-profit organizations in DC and throughout the states.

The 10-week program includes:

  • An opening seminar in the DC metro area focused on giving you a solid foundation on which to build your general skills and knowledge.
  • An internship in a communications role. Fellows who are already employed full time may opt to remain in their current role during the program, provided the position and organization are approved by our selection team.
  • Weekly evening lectures featuring experts on various topics.
  • Hands-on projects involving op-eds, press releases, crisis communications, and more.
  • A closing seminar in the DC metro area where you will practice your skills and receive feedback from communications professionals.
  • A generous stipend of up to $4,500 to help offset the costs of participating in the program.
