The network “Research on Money in the Economy” (ROME) in collaboration with the Forschungsseminar Radein e.V. is inviting submissions of papers for an academic conference on issues related to recent developments in financial market regulation, to the new role of fiscal and monetary policy in Europe and to the impact of European economic policy on international markets.

The conference will be held on September 23–24, 2016 in Düsseldorf / Germany. The conference will cover 10 to 12 papers with discussants and keynote speakers.

The organizers aim to bring together international researchers, academics, central bankers and politicians interested and involved in the field of international financial architecture, of European monetary and fiscal policy in the aftermath of the financial crises and in the field of international economic policy coordination. The conference will cover a broad range of related topics, both theoretical and empirical.

The organizers are inviting papers on a range of topics, including (other related areas may also be considered):

Financial stability and regulation of financial markets in Europe.
Post crisis drivers of economic growth in the European Union.
The new role for European monetary and fiscal policy.
The impact of economic policy in Europe on the global economy, and
international economic policy coordination in the current decade.

All papers presented at the main conference will be published – depending on the subject and after the usual referee process – in a regular issue of a high quality international journal such as “Applied Economics Quartely” or “International Journal of Financial Studies”.
