An exciting opportunity has become available for a postdoctoral research associate to design and lead novel brain imaging research at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging. The research focus shall include generating multi-modal atlases of the developing mouse brain and will involve teaching and administrative duties to support the activities of WIN.

You will be required to develop research questions and lead novel research programmes in the field of brain MRI as well as develop, establish and pursue appropriate analysis protocols and techniques. It will be expected that you regularly write research articles for national and international peer-reviewed journals and present research at conferences.

You will have a PhD/DPhil and significant postdoctoral experience, in a relevant research area; specifically in brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in rodents and humans using a range of different imaging modalities; ideally with a focus on in-vivo early postnatal imaging. You will be required to have training in neurosciences and biomedical imaging and experience in generating mouse brain atlases in the field of brain development.

You will be expected to show evidence of both graduate and undergraduate teaching experience in addition to effective collaboration and excellent academic writing and presentation skills. Experience of working with clinical populations would prove beneficial.

The post is full-time for a fixed-term until 30 June 2022 in the first instance.
