We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join an international group of researchers with skills and expertise that collectively build software and hardware applications and systems for the next generation networks. By joining the group, you will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art technologies, collaborate with top researchers in the field and participate in national and European projects comprised of both academic and industrial partners. 
You will form and lead collaborative research strategy at the HPN research group and drive forward industrial collaborative opportunities. You will develop an Intellectual Property Rights strategy and explore commercialisation opportunities.

Our research is published in high-impact and high-visibility research venues and contributed to prominent standardization organizations. You will drive publications and participate in national and international academic and industrial networks, conferences, as well as, standardisation and regulatory bodies.

We expect applicants will have knowledge of, and experience in, research and innovation and innovation management, with particular focus on industry. Extensive experience of successfully initiating, designing and implementing collaborative projects. Evidence of an established national and growing international reputation within the future networks community. Experience in supporting the development of early career researchers (e.g. through mentoring, group leadership, providing encouragement to others within an area of research) are an advantage.

This position is being offered on a full time, open-ended contract, with funding until 30 November 2020.
