A new opportunity has arisen for a postdoctoral researcher to be involved with a project creating a platform for collaborative working and open science; developing and evaluating online assessments and interventions of language and laterality.

This is a diverse role for someone with a background in neuropsychology, language disorders, statistics or behaviour genetics, and skills in programming, to help with the development of an online platform for testing language and laterality, and for training language skills and scientific reasoning.

The post is funded until 30 September 2021.

The role will involve contributing ideas to develop assessments and interventions and implementing these online using the Gorilla platform or similar. As well as preparing data management plans and analysing data you will contribute to writing up studies and presenting papers at conferences.

Candidates should hold a doctorate in psychology or a related relevant discipline with evidence of commitment to open and reproducible science. You will have strong IT skills, a proven track record of publishing work and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Along with the ability to manage your own research and administrative activities, experience of internet-based data collection would be an advantage.

You will be required to upload a covering letter explaining how you meet the job requirements, as well as a CV and details of two referees as part of your online application.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday on Monday 25 March 2019. Interviews are planned for Friday 5 April 2019.
