We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Lecturer in Education (Educational Psychology) within the School of Education & Social Work. 

The role of the successful applicant will be that of Lecturer whose principal functions will be to develop the expertise of the students primarily on the MSc Educational Psychology Programme. The successful candidate will be a practising Educational Psychologist and have a strong interest in training, continuing professional development, and the future of the professions of education including educational psychology, social work and community education. Applicants should be an HCPC registered practitioner psychologist. 

Your priorities will include:

  • Contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum.
  • Share in the supervision of the practical placements for trainee educational psychologists.
  • Be involved in teaching individual and group tutorials.
  • Be involved in the assessment of trainee educational psychologists progress.
  • Supervise the collaborative projects in Year 1 of the Programme and the research theses of trainee educational psychologists during Year 2
  • Engage in research.

Who were looking for:

          • Fully qualified educational psychologist.
          • Currently employed by a Local Authority Educational Psychology Service.
          • A good honours degree in psychology or equivalent.
          • Post graduate qualification in educational psychology.
          • Chartered status with the BPS.
          • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
