The conference organizers and program committee members welcome researchers, students and others interested in inhaled aerosols to join us at UC Irvine for the Third Aerosol Dosimetry Conference.
We will do our best to provide a stimulating meeting in Southern California, a family-friendly vacation locale with mountains, beaches, deserts, amusement parks, world-class dining, shopping and entertainment.
The conference will be held Oct. 10-12, 2019, at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering, 100 Academy Drive, Irvine, CA 92617.
About the conference
Depending on the doses inhaled, particles, gases and vapors can have beneficial effects as pharmaceuticals or adverse effects as environmental or occupational air contaminants. While significant advances have been made in understanding inhaled materials, many aspects of aerosol dosimetry require further development.
To arrive at comprehensive characterizations of benefits or risks as well as uncertainties, integration of inhaled doses with hazard assessment, exposure estimates and risk-reduction strategies is critical.
This conference addresses these and other issues by bringing together diverse experts for a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary dialogue. The topics are varied, but each is related to advancing the understanding of internal doses received from inhaled substances.
