Postdoctral Researcher in Finance

The position is located in the Department of Finance and funded by Academy of Finland project Data-Driven Society.

The Finance Group is strongly dedicated to research, as shown by a stream of research published in top finance journals. The department is one of the top finance departments in Europe and is equipped with all major commercial Finance databases and hosts several proprietary databases. The role and key tasks

As a post doc researcher, you are expected to coordinate and further develop (mainly) finance and economics databases and assist in data governance. Roughly 50% of working time may be spent on independent scientific research.

The exact role can be somewhat tailored based on your strengths as well as your long-term career goals.

What we expect from you

As an ideal candidate, you have a PhD in empirical finance, economics or data science and a desire to work with our strong research group in quantitative finance and asset pricing. In addition, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively communicating complex research issues, and working in good collaboration with your team.

Conditions of the role

The position is an up to 3-year fixed-term appointment, beginning at September 1, 2019 – or earlier. Your salary will follow the University salary system, of which we are happy to provide more information to you. The position includes comprehensive occupational healthcare benefits.
