We are looking for a hardworking and ambitious assistant professor in Law. Are you a promising legal scholar with an interest in interdisciplinary research? Then please apply! You are interested in exploring how law can be shaped to contribute to positive outcomes for societal concerns, such as public health, circular economy, consumer safety or environmental quality. A background in European Union law is particularly relevant for the work of the group, ideally with a specialization in food law, or related areas such as consumer law, internal market law, environmental law, intellectual property and/or trade. There is a specific teaching need in the area of food law regulation. Demonstrated experience in this field is an advantage but not a requirement. You will develop, supervise and carry out global-level high-quality research in collaboration with your own international network, as well as with colleagues at the Law Group and Wageningen University. You will publish regularly in leading international academic journals. You will be encouraged to collaborate with colleagues across these themes in the development of legal research linked to the living environment. Above all, you are a personable, social colleague willing to balance your personal interests with those of the group. You will contribute to strongly internationally oriented teaching programmes at Wageningen University. In the short term, you will be expected to adapt existing courses taught by the Law Group in the Food Law and Regulatory Affairs specialization of the Food Safety Programme. Within a period of 12 years of being appointed as Assistant professor, you are encouraged to reach the level of Professor in your own field.
