It is with great pleasure we invite you to participate in the 14th International Conference on Osteogenesis Imperfecta in Sheffield, UK, from 5-8 September 2020.
The international osteogenesis imperfecta conference brings together scientists and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines, presenting updates on developments in current scientific research, medical and surgical treatment options as well as discussions around topics such as rehabilitation, quality of life, pain, mental health and service development.
The scientific programme will highlight state-of-the-art clinical practices, recent advances as well as new data and perspectives, in a format designed to encourage interaction and collaboration between all stakeholders. We aim to cover a wide range of topics, from state of the art research to the broad spectrum of clinical situations that physicians might encounter.
Our goal is that all members of the OI-community will benefit from taking part in the event - including clinical and scientific researchers, clinicians, therapists and other health care professionals as well as representatives from patient organisations.
The multidisciplinary nature of the conference provides an opportunity to talk to specialists from many different fields including geneticists, internists, endocrinologists, orthopaedic surgeons, dentists, radiologists, paediatricians, physiotherapists, nurses as well as patient and industry representatives.
Sheffield is England’s 5th largest city, and with its two universities has been voted the UK’s most popular student destination. It has a vibrant and diverse social scene, and at the same time is one of the UK’s greenest cities, with one third of the city lying within the Peak District National Park. Transport links are good and there is a choice of international airports within an hour of the city.
The meeting takes place on the University of Sheffield campus, meaning that accommodation and meeting facilities are easily accessible and a short walk apart. It also means that we can offer very low accommodation rates, starting at £45 per night for bed and breakfast.
Please submit your abstracts on any relevant topic and we hope that you will be able to join us for an exciting meeting with constructive discussions about state of the art clinical and basic science related to osteogenesis imperfecta.
