The Teaching Fellow will teach on the January start programmes for the Faculty to provide service teaching in introductory economics offering opportunities to teach a wide range of undergraduate students from Business, the basics in micro and macroeconomics.  The teaching in the department is delivered across three terms and the successful candidate will need to be willing to support teaching from September to July. We are particularly looking for candidates that enjoy working with diverse cohorts of students drawn from across the Business Faculty and challenging them to fulfil their potential through developing inspiring course materials and learning activities within a blended learning environment and providing excellent student care.

The Faculty of Business is based in the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich – a UNESCO World Heritage site – has a strong commitment to diversity and internationalism. This is reflected in our focus on inclusive curricula and equality of opportunity and access for all learners.

The Department has a portfolio of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in the areas of Economics and International Business as well as providing service teaching in economics and international business across the Faculty of Business.  Our teaching is informed by the international research agenda developed within the faculty research centres with our staff currently affiliated to: Centre for Business Network Analysis (CBNA), Institute of Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA) and Centre for Research on Employment and Work (CREW).

In addition, the department has an interest in research in Business and Economics Education (BEE) and is leading the development of MERIT Hub (Measuring Education’s Real Impact from Innovative Teaching and Learning) which supports the University to evaluate teaching, learning and access initiatives. We are seeking a teaching fellow in economics who is interested in developing effective learning environments and enhanced student support.
