The Hugo Valentin Centre (HVC) is an interdisciplinary unit at the Department of History, Uppsala University, with a focus on research and education in two particular fields: ethnic relations and Holocaust and genocide studies. The former involves studying ethnic relations in a broad sense, with an emphasis on minorities, migration, language and cultural revitalisation, integration, discrimination, and political and social conditions in a multicultural context. Research is conducted in a markedly cross-disciplinary environment that brings together researchers with a background in humanities and social sciences.

The position lasts two years.

Requirements: To qualify for an employment as a postdoctor you must have a PhD degree or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in the humanities or social sciences.
