The area for the doctoral studies should preferably be within any of the fields of sociological research represented at the department. Requirements To be qualified for doctoral studies in Sociology you need: a Bachelor´s degree and at least 60 ECTS credits at advanced level.

Write a short description (maximum 1 000 words) outlining your intended field of research for the dissertation.

Selection criteria
The selection among applicants is based on the assessment of the ability to successfully complete the doctoral studies. Special attention is devoted to the quality of theses and other relevant research as well as the research plan for the dissertation.

The studentship covers four years of full time studies with wages according to regulations for doctoral student positions.
