Условия участия и жилье: Registration Fee EUR 450 for ESCMID members EUR 550 for all others The fee includes the teaching material, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, coffee breaks and hotel accommodation (2 nights). Travel is not included.


Course Objectives
  • To know the epidemiology of acute infectious encephalitis in Europe and other travel destinations
  • To be able to distinguish between infectious encephalitis and infectious-mimicking encephalitis
  • To understand the pathophysiology of acute infectious encephalitis
  • To be able to propose an appropriate biological and imaging diagnosis management
  • To manage unusual or rare infectious encephalitis
  • To be able to propose an appropriate treatment for an acute infectious encephalitis
Target Audience

20 – 50 hospital physicians (infectious diseases, medical microbiology, neurology, internal medicine, paediatrics).

Attendance Grants

ESCMID provides a number of attendance grants for ESCMID “young scientist members”. The grant covers the registration fee, but not travel costs. Please apply with the link on the right before 12 September 2014. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by 26 September 2014.
