Applied Learning Theory and Design is a dynamically evolving interdisciplinary research area examining traditional and emerging educational contexts through diverse conceptual frameworks. The Encyclopedia of Applied Learning Theory and Design in Modern Education provides comprehensive coverage of the most important topics, issues and solutions in applied learning theory and design. This important new publication, to be distributed worldwide among research, academic, and professional institutions, will be instrumental in providing researchers, scholars, students, and professionals with access to the latest knowledge in applied learning theory and design. Contributions to this important publication are expected from scholars and professionals throughout the world with notable research portfolios and expertise. This encyclopedia will provide a compendium of trends, methodologies, strategies, technologies, forms and models of learning and concepts in learning theory and design. This volume will feature short articles (3,000-5,000 words) authored by leading experts offering in-depth descriptions of key terms, concepts and practices related to important areas, issues and trends in information science, and technologies relevant for modern learning related organizations worldwide.

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of their chapter at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/call-f.... Submission template, author guides and other resources for encyclopedia type chapter contribution are available at IGI website at www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-r.... All proposal submissions must be uploaded to the IGI Global Book Online Submission System on or before September 15, 2014. Notifications will be sent by September 30, 2014, and the authors of accepted proposals will be sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters of 3,000 - 5,000 words each, including figures, tables, and charts are expected to be submitted by November 30, 2014. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project. This publication is anticipated to be released in 2015.
