ECO-BIO 2018 will highlight the latest research and innovation towards developing industrially viable, safe and ecologically friendly biobased (renewable biological sources) solutions to build a sustainable society.
A topical and comprehensive programme will include: plenary and invited speakers, forum discussions, contributed oral presentations, a large poster session and exhibition,
The conference will bring together all concerned with the biobased economy to review industrial, academic, environment and societal approaches, discuss the latest research and progress, and encourage new research partnerships to enable new cascaded biobased value chains.
Abstracts are invited for poster contributions by 19 January 2018 for the following tracks: Scientific discovery; (Industrial) Technological development; Impact assessment of biobased solutions; Innovation and valorisation.

The deadline for submission of abstracts for oral presentations has passed. Abstracts are invited on the following topics for presentation in the lively poster sessions:

    Track 1: Scientific Discovery
new feedstocks (algae, specialty crops, etc.)
    industrial microbiology
    synthetic biology
    metagenomics and mining, computational engineering
    bioactive compounds from nature

    Track 2: (Industrial) Technological Development
renewable products (high performance materials, specialty chemicals, building blocks, food, feed & nutritional ingredients, health, personal & home care, etc)
consolidated bioprocessing/integration and intensification of bioprocesses
use of residual streams (MSW, CO/CO2, ….)

Track 3: Impact assessment of biobased solutions
ecological aspects (soil, water, human, climate)
soil and crop management, nutrient cycles
    social, environmental and economic impacts
    biomass supply
    policy and public perception

    Track 4: Innovation and valorisation
    biorefinery concepts
    new value chains/clusters
    green tech capital/investors

Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.

Once the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the conference and present the paper at the conference.
