The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the following vacancy in its Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education

Postdoctoral Position in Economics (M/F)

  • Ref: 5001489
  • Full-time/40 hrs
  • Fixed-term contract 36 months
  • Starting September 1st, 2019

The post-doctoral researcher will be a member of the INSIDE research unit (Integrative Research Unit on Social and Individual Development) within the Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education at the University of Luxembourg. 

He/she will work within the research group ‘Economic and Social Well-being’ of the Institute for Health and Behaviour, lead by Prof. Conchita D’Ambrosio.

Your Role

  • Develop research on measuring individual and social well-being;
  • Develop research on the causes and consequences of economic insecurity and resilience;
  • Disseminating results through scientific publications, workshops and conferences;
  • Interact with the research team members and participate in project meetings;
  • Support activities related to the Editorial Office of scientific journals;
  • Offer research assistance;
  • Contribute in preparing research proposals.

Your Profile

  • D. in Economics.
  • Candidates from the following fields are particularly encouraged to apply: Public Economics and Applied Microeconomics.
  • Experience in handling longitudinal and birth cohort datasets;
  • Extensive experience in quantitative research (Stata, R, etc.)
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
