 We are now seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Research Fellow to work on innovative low-cost cell phone-based medical applications. (1 year Contract Position)

The position is to work on our GCE grant project funded by Bill and Melinda Gate foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Sound and Speech analysis algorithms and system prototypes for low-cost cell phone based medical applications.
  • Work on real implementations of mobile applications and web applications.
  • Help researchers in the team to perform research.

Key selection criteria

  • PhD or Masters degree  in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields specialising in Sound and Speech analysis or some related field.
  • Experience in Sound and Speech signal processing.
  • Strong commitment to research and publication records.
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB,  C/C++, and Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Desirable Attributes

  • Strong communication skills and effective in time management.
  • Ability to interact and communicate positively with students and faculty
